I recently booked a trip for my brother to visit another brother in Australia all was well and off he went no probs...he then decided that he would like to stay on another few weeks so asked me to ring them up and get it sorted...no probs...rang their office in chicago and plz bear in mind that im ringing from Ireland so not the cheapest of air time but I got it sorted...the operator told me that I didnt have to do nothing as it was the same... Just an advice, never purchase tickets from Orbitz they have the worst customer service ever! They made a mistake on our reservation and they admitted that they can see in their system that they made the mistake then they ask us to pay $5,500 extra that they fix the problem, we asked to talk to the manager next person said pay extra $2,200, next person said $1,200 next one said $11 which we agreed then she said the system upgraded and she cannot... I recently took a flight to Dubai and had to change return dates. I did notify Orbitz and they proceed to cancel and I did purchase new flight. They did explain that I will get a flight credit for $734.00 for policy# MZ0911076H0002A. A month later I call to use my credit as explained by Orbitz reps to keep me on hold for hours and nothing gets resolved. I tried booking my flight to India through Orbitz. Tried 3 times and all the 3 times, the money got deducted from my account. The itinerary at the end, wasn't booked. They have a HORRIBLE customer care lines. They have put me on HOLD for a LOOONG time and dropped the call without notifying. What a Sham we booked a hotel wrong... Not their fault, but we immediately called way less than 24hrs, no refund no cancellations, we got their *** insurance, which does absolutely nothing. In the last 5 days we've been trying to get this resolved. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS! I BOOK WITH ORBITZ OVER 100 TIMES A YEAR. WHEN I WANT ANYTHING RESOLVED IT NEVER GETS RESOLVED AND I WAIT OVER TWO HOURS FOR HELP WHICH DOES NOT GET ME ANY WHERE. what a horrible experience this was. The car was not available on the pick up day and I had to cancel my trip.The insurance that I bought from orbitz was a rip off according to the car rental agent. It took three days of phone calls to get a refund. Their customer service is a scam, when you ask for a refund they put you on hold and do not come back ever. First of all, I don't know how they sold me car insurance for a country that of course they know their insurance can't cover in. So I went to Mexico and bought car insurance from Orbitz, to then find out once I was in Mexico ready to pick up my rented car that I had to purchase another insurance for the car because the one I had purchased did not cover in that country, so I was very pissed and disappointed , how can a big company like Orbitz do... The first time I called my hold time was 13 minutes, I needed to cancel a motel reservation I made, I was then instructed that they could not get a-hold of the motel and that they would call me back once they cancelled the reservation. 7 hours go by without a call back, but I expected this so I called again and was on hold for 17 minutes before I could speak to a rep, as we speak I'm on hold and writing this complaint. Orbitz ruined my vacation, and now they won't step up to fix the problem. I had to hold for over 3 and a half hours to get person to fix the mistake Orbitz made when changing our departure date last month because they didn't complete the booking with airline- but they sure charged me! We missed our flight. After about 6 hours, they started?!? to rebook the itinerary but still havn't re-issue the e-tickets!?! Low prices don't matter if they can't... Read more
