In June 2008 we arrived at the airport in Charlotte, NC for our flight to Chicago only to find that the flight had been changed. I had talked to a person at Orbitz the previous day who gave me what I thought was the correct flight information. We were never emailed or called with the updated flight information and we missed our flight to Chicago. The flight left 3 hours earlier.

Thanks to the Air Tran attendant we were able to get on stand-by for a flight later that day. However, we missed a whole day of our vacation as we were supposed to have gotten to Chicago that morning.

Don't use Orbitz!!

When I called the night before my flight to confirm my seat assignments, I was told that my outbound flight was cancelled. There was no notification at all before. If I hadn’t called Orbitz, I would have never known and would have showed up at the airport on time only to be told. I am waiting for a call back now from Orbitz to tell me what they can do to resolve this situation as I am due to fly to Hawaii tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM, it is now 10:00 PM. I will never use Orbitz again. After flying over a million miles on various airlines, this is the first time this has happened to me.
