Urgent Complaint – False Advertising and Request for Reimbursement

This refers to a vacation package from February 14, 2026, to February 21, 2026, for Ademir Pinto and Ana Pinto (account: ad.ana.marci@***.com).

Good morning. I am extremely disappointed with the entire trip booked through Orbitz.

The property, DEJA All Inclusive Resort, is not even close to what was advertisedit is far from being a resort and does not meet basic expectations.

Here are the major issues we experienced:

The advertisement described a beach property, but there is no beach on-site. Instead, it is across a very crowded and dangerous street. The beach is public, requires an entry fee, and offers no chairs, umbrellas, drinks, or water. Activities must be paid for separately, and the beach closes at 5:30 PM daily, leaving no access afterward.

The so-called all-inclusive resort only has one overcrowded restaurant.

The food quality was extremely poor, and there were long lines for breakfast and lunch.

For dinner, we attempted to reserve the Italian Ristorante, which turned out to be just extra seating on a balcony. There was no separate kitchenone waiter simply fetched food from the buffet.

The bathroom shower drain did not work properly, adding to the discomfort.

I was scheduled to stay from February 14 to February 21 (7 days), but the conditions were so unacceptable that I could not stay beyond two days. We even had to purchase new airfare of $520.84 to leave early.

This experience was misleading and constitutes false advertising, as nothing shown on the booking page reflects reality.

I am extremely upset and will be seeking reimbursement for this vacation. Please advise on the next steps to resolve this matter promptly.

Choose Stay Protection Plan for $4.50, and they charged me $9. Thieving bastards need a class action lawsuit, as this seems to be a standard procedure for Orbitz, which is why they make it so difficult to reach them by phone.

Class action attorneys being contacted. Only thing Orbitz is good for is giving overseas *** day jobs.

Hertz Issue

The Hertz stores posted hours were incorrect. I attached pictures for evidence.

The Orbitz case number for the situation was not shared with me in the email thread, as the agent stated that they were only allowed to share it verbally. I hope that within the 72-hour follow-up deadline, Orbitz will respond and will have rectified the matter.

No pick up

Reserved a car several months in advance then prepaid for it with a confirmation number. Car was booked through Orbitz paid for through Orbitz when I reach Puerto Rico no cars available cost me hundreds of dollars extra for taxis and Ubers since no other cars was available on the island for the holiday.

Have called an email several times. Only get to talk to an AI operator no resolve yet going on seven days

I purchased travel insurance from you and you want to give me a Credit and I need my money. Youre asking for information that I cant provide because of Hippa Laws and Legal reasons.

This process for $157.18 is ridiculous, especially because Im experiencing a Life and Death Emergency for my Son. I will continue to Complain and contact anyone and everyone until I receive the money refund I deserve because of following your rules on the Cancellation Insurance Policy

Orbits is selling insurances for car rental that do not exist.

When you use them and file a claim the insurance company, Travel Guard Group says that the policy doesnt exist.

I think orbits is selling fake insurances and pocketing the money.

Of course when you call them there is no option to talk to an operator.

Its a well articulated scam.

DO NOT BUY INSURANCES FROM ORBITZ!!!

I purchased Cancellation Insurance

I purchased cancellation insurance from Orbitz and followed the policy to cancel my flight for Southwest. They instantly gave me a credit instead of a refund.

After speaking to Southwest, Orbitz has my account locked so they can't process a refund. I have a detrimental family emergency and they want doctor records that I can't provide because of HIPAA laws for $157.18.

The website offers the option to pay for seat selection but doesn't allow me to select those seats. If I wait till check-in, as suggested, there will be no aisle seats left.
